I'd be interested to know if she's already done the walking tour and if she went with a different guide.KATE MAYFIELDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15188611212969681379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3651966380862866650.post-46763845603763041312010-10-20T11:10:32.291-07:002010-10-20T11:10:32.291-07:00Have a good friend from high school living in Lond...Have a good friend from high school living in London, will share this link w/her. She has lived in London most of her life, loves it, but does get back to Dakota quite often. At any rate, wonderful writing as always ... love your flair for adventure, Kate! If I ever hit that city again, that tour will be my FIRST stop. Wonderfully entertaining. The photos pointed out how crowded it must have been with people living so close to each other and the street. They add a claustrophobic dimension to the mystery.

I've forgotten the juicy details -- how many women were killed and over how long a period, so will have to to do a quick google here...savvysavingbyteshttp://savvysavingbytes.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3651966380862866650.post-76136190062309317842010-10-19T08:46:15.669-07:002010-10-19T08:46:15.669-07:00That guy at the end - yes a perfect example of ...That guy at the end - yes a perfect example of 'less is more'. Perhaps we don't actually want to know who the Ripper is - if the case were definitively solved it would lose most of its power. Having said that, of course I'd love to know. I haven't read much on the subject but Patricia Cornwell's theory that it was Walter Sickert is absolutely fascinating, although I believe the learnet ripperologists have pretty much dismissed it.
Great piece!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3651966380862866650.post-10722584206199976062010-10-18T14:55:41.264-07:002010-10-18T14:55:41.264-07:00Hi Susan, thanks! I tried not to give too much away in the post so that hopefully people can visit London and enjoy if for themselves some day.KATE MAYFIELDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15188611212969681379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3651966380862866650.post-8915336126500688492010-10-18T10:07:51.112-07:002010-10-18T10:07:51.112-07:00Another wonderful post.
